Yuva Fellowship - 2022 - Application

VidyaPoshak is seeking passionate and committed individuals who see the role of teachers as not just knowledge-building exercising but are excited by the prospect of looking at teaching as a transformative journey for self and children. 

It is a full time commitment and as a teacher fellow for 2 years, your role will include:

  1. Setting goals and vision for your classroom 
  2. Planning and facilitating lessons on Science/Math/English to children of Grade 6 and 7 from under-resourced schools in Karnataka
  3. Facilitate projects and extracurricular activities for children during/after the school hours
  4. Collecting data on a quarterly basis to measure student learning outcomes
  5. Building relationships with stakeholders such as parents, community, school teachers, and headmasters

Location: Village Schools around Dharwad-Hubli

Who can apply?

Education and Experience:

  1. Minimum qualification of graduation
  2. Age less than 26 years
  3. Past volunteering or work experience in any field (teaching experience would be preferable)
  4. Knowledge, Skills and Mindsets:
  5. Passionate about teaching and working with children from rural context
  6. Communication and Presentation skills i.e. ability to articulate and present ideas in simple and engaging ways
  7. Knowledge of Kannada and English language
  8. Computer proficiency  
  9. Research and Design skills to create learning materials and lesson plans with activities 
  10. Ability to set goals and track progress on regular basis

Remuneration

The teacher fellow will get a monthly stipend of Rs 13,000.

ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಕಾರಂಜಿ – ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕನಸುಗಳಿಗೆ ವೇದಿಕೆ

 GHPS Mangalagatti ನಮ್ಮ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಿಹಿ ಸಾಧನೆ  GHPS Lokur ನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಕ್ಲಸ್ಟರ್ ಲೆವೆಲ್ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಕಾರಂಜಿಯನ್ನು ಹಬ್ಬದ ಸಂಭ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಹಲವಾರು ಶಾಲೆಗಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಒಂದೇ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು.  ನಮ್ಮ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ವಿವಿಧ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರು ಹಾಡು, ನೃತ್ಯ, ಭಜನೆ, ಚಿತ್ರಕಲೆ, ಕಥೆ ಹೇಳುವಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು. ಮಕ್ಕಳು ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಿಂಚಿದ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ತಂದವು. ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳ ಅಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಹಲವಾರು ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜಯ ಸಾಧಿಸಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು. ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಬಹುಮಾನ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವರ ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಳೆದ ಮುದ್ದಾದ ನಗು ಎಲ್ಲರ ಹೃದಯ ಗೆದ್ದಿತು.    thank you

Parents meeting

               A parents’ meeting was organized by the Vidya Poshak organization. Many parents participated in the meeting. During the meeting, parents discussed their children’s handwriting, academic progress, and learning levels with the school teachers. The objectives and activities of the Vidya Poshak organization were clearly explained by the organization’s teacher, Ms. Aishwarya. All the parents extended their cooperation and support, which helped in successfully completing the parents’ meeting.
