ಮುಗ್ಧ ಮನಸಿನ, ಮುದ್ದು ಮಗು..... ಅದೊಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಊರು ಹೆಸರು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಪುರಿ. .... ಒಂದು ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಊರು. ನೂರಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಭಾವಿ, ನೂರಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ, ಧಾರವಾಡ ತಾಲೂಕಿನಲ್ಲೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ ಊರು,ಎಲ್ಲೆಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಸಿರು ಗಿಡಗಳು, ಬಳ್ಳಿಗಳು ಹಬ್ಬುತ್ತ ಹೆಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಿತು. ಈ ಊರು ನನಗೆ ತೀರಾ ಮನಸಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿರವಾದಂತ ಊರು, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಇದು ನನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ತವರು ಮನೆ. ಅಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಅಜ್ಜ ಅಜ್ಜಿಯ ಊರು,ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ರಜೆ ಬಂದಾಗಲೇಲ್ಲಾ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ,.ನನ್ನ ಬಾಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲೆ ಕಳೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಅಜ್ಜಿಯ ಕಾಲದಿಂದಲೂ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕ ಗಂಡು, ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಶಾಲೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ನಾನು ನಾಗವೇಣಿ ಸಂಗಳದ ಜೂನ್ 2022ರಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾಪೋಷಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಫೆಲೋ ಟೀಚರ್ ಆಗಿ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡೆ, ಅಂದು ಜೋರಾದ ಮಳೆ ನಮಿತಾ ಮೇಡಂ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಪಯಣ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಶಾಲೆ ಹೆಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಸಾಗಿತ್ತು, ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಹೋದ ತಕ್ಷಣ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಗುರುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಉಳಿದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿಯರು ದಪ್ಪನೆಯ ಮಾಲೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು, ಇದು ನಮಗೆ ಮುಜುಗರ ತಂದಿತ್ತು, ಈಗಲೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಆಫೀಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಿತಾ ಮೇಡಂ ಮತ್ತು ನಾನು ಆ ವಿಷಯ ನೆನಪಾದಾಗೆಲ್ಲ
