A Day of Awareness, Creativity, and Reflection – Summer Camp Highlights ( GHPS Yettinagudda)

Today was a meaningful and inspiring day at our summer camp. I reached the school at 7:45 AM, and we began the day by respectfully celebrating Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Jayanti. It was a thoughtful start, reminding students about the values of equality, education, and social justice.

Following this, we made announcements in the village regarding LKG and UKG admissions, spreading awareness and inviting the community to be part of the school.

At 8:30 AM, we officially started the summer camp with a prayer song, creating a calm and positive atmosphere. Today’s session focused on understanding our village and its development. I explained about the history of the village and its important features. The students listened with curiosity and actively participated in the discussion.

To make the learning more creative, we conducted an activity where students drew a large tree representing the changes in our village. Each student wrote their ideas about development and improvements and pasted them on the tree. It was wonderful to see their thoughts and creativity come together in one meaningful visual.

Next, the students enjoyed an energetic action dance session, which filled the classroom with joy and excitement. After this, we had a short tiffin break, allowing everyone to relax and refresh.

After the break, we continued with another creative drawing activity where students compared the school facilities “before and now.” They expressed their ideas through drawings, showing their understanding of progress and change in a very imaginative way.

We also conducted a fun and engaging game called “Save Your Balloon". The activity encouraged teamwork, coordination, and quick thinking. The students enjoyed it thoroughly, and their laughter made the session lively.

At the end of the day, I asked the students to share what they had learned. They responded confidently and expressed their experiences in their own words, which was truly encouraging to see.

Today’s attendance was 36 students, and all of them actively participated in the activities. Overall, it was a successful and enjoyable day filled with awareness, creativity, and meaningful learning. No difficulties were faced, and the session went smoothly with great enthusiasm from the students.
