“A Day of Devotion, Sharing, and Festive Joy at Camp”
Today was a slightly different yet memorable day at camp.
Our Headmaster (HM) also visited the school today, making the occasion even more special. Together with the children, we prepared for a pooja dedicated to Jagajyoti Basavanna. The students actively participated in arranging the space and offering prayers, creating a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere filled with devotion and respect.
Following the pooja, I distributed the kits to all the children. Some students had joined the camp only for the past three to four days, but we ensured that every child received a kit, making them feel included and appreciated.
Since only a smaller group of children attended the camp today, we decided to celebrate Makar Sankranti in a simple and joyful way. I explained to the children how, on this special occasion, people often go outdoors with family and friends, carrying a variety of homemade foods, sharing meals, and spending quality time together.
Inspired by this tradition, I asked all the children to bring their lunch boxes, and I did the same. We then visited some of the well-known temples in the village, enjoying a peaceful outing together. Sitting in the temple surroundings, we shared our meals, and the children ate happily, enjoying both the food and the experience. The day was filled with laughter, bonding, and a sense of togetherness.
Today’s experience beautifully combined devotion, sharing, and celebration—reminding us that simple moments often create the most lasting memories
