Day 1 - Explore and Learn with Nature

“When we explore nature with curiosity, we also learn to care for it.”

Every year, during the summer holidays, we conduct a summer camp for our students. The camp is planned for 10 days and includes 5 different themes. Each theme is covered over two days. This year, we will also be organizing our camp for 10 days following the same plan.

On 11/04/2026 We began our first camp session with a prayer song. I welcomed the students and briefly explained about our 10-day camp. After that, I conducted a fun energizer action song, which the students really enjoyed. Then, I started a discussion on what happens if birds do not get water. I asked some questions, and the students responded very well with correct answers

Next, I narrated the story of the thirsty crow. Even though most students already knew the story, they still enjoyed listening to it. After the story, I divided the students into groups and asked them to enact a scene where birds search for water and ask humans for help. The students performed very nicely and participated with great enthusiasm. Later, we prepared water bowls for birds. Every student actively took part in this activity. We then placed and tied the bowls to trees so that birds can easily access water.

There were many programs happening in the school today. BRC officers, SDMC members, NGO officers, and Sangeeta class teachers visited the school. They observed our camp activities and appreciated our efforts. We also performed Saraswati Pooja and ground pooja. During the program, the HM spoke about our camp and introduced the Sangeeta class. All the functions went smoothly and successfully.😊

Overall, it was a very productive and joyful day, and the students were actively involved in all the activities.πŸ’•πŸ’•
