Day 8 :Strength beyond Muscles

The 8th day camp began with a prayer song, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere. I then warmly welcomed the students, setting an enthusiastic tone for the day.

We started with a fun balloon game, followed by a circle game. Both activities brought joy and excitement, and the students participated wholeheartedly. After that, I explained the importance of yoga and guided them through a few simple yogasanas. The students actively took part and showed great interest.

Next, I introduced the concept of meditation, explaining its meaning and importance in maintaining mental peace and focus. The students listened carefully and practiced a short meditation session, which helped create a calm and relaxed environment.

Moving on, I introduced the chessboard and its pieces—such as the king, queen, elephant (rook), and others. The students were curious and eager to learn, and they enjoyed playing the game while understanding its basics. We continued the day with a few more engaging games, keeping the energy lively and interactive. Later, I introduced a Padabandha activity, in which the students participated actively and with enthusiasm.

During the session, the Panchayat PDO and some members visited the school. They shared that they had also been instructed to conduct a summer camp and marked the occasion by planting saplings. It was a meaningful moment, promoting environmental awareness. I also guided some games on their behalf, and together we engaged the students in enjoyable activities.

Finally, I returned home at around 12:30 p.m., feeling satisfied and happy with how the day had unfolded. Overall, today’s experience was truly nice—filled with learning, fun, mindfulness, and meaningful interactions.
