Summer Camp – Day 1
Explore and Learn with Nature
The first day of our summer camp at GHPS Devarahubballi began at 8:15 AM with excitement and enthusiasm. Though a few students arrived late initially, everyone gradually joined in.
The session started with a warm welcome and an introduction to the summer camp, where students were informed about the five themes planned for the coming days. We began with a beautiful prayer song, “Hoovalli Jenu,” which created a joyful atmosphere.
An energizer game using balloons and cups brought lots of fun and energy among the students. This was followed by an interactive discussion where students shared their ideas about spending summer and how birds find water during this season.
A short story, “The Thirsty Cow,” led to a meaningful hands-on activity. Students used waste plastic bottles to create water containers for birds and placed them around the school campus. This activity helped them connect with nature and understand the importance of caring for living beings.
The day concluded with a brief introduction to the next day’s plan, a reflection circle, and a group photo.
Overall, Day 1 of the summer camp was engaging, enjoyable, and full of learning.
