Today, I conducted an EVS class for the 5th standard on the “Community Games” chapter. I focused particularly on the importance of outdoor activities and games.
To make the lesson more interesting and meaningful, I took the students outside and conducted a few outdoor activities. The students participated actively and enjoyed learning through play. Through these activities, they understood the importance of teamwork, cooperation, discipline, physical fitness, and following rules.
The activity-based approach helped the students connect the concepts from the textbook with their real-life experiences. It also encouraged them to communicate with their classmates, work together, and develop a positive attitude towards games and physical activities.
Overall, the outdoor activities made the EVS lesson enjoyable, interactive, and practical. The students learned that games are not only a source of enjoyment but also help in developing physical, social, and emotional skills.
