Location: Dharwad, Karnataka

Monthly Stipend: INR 10000/- with INR 1000/- travel allowance

Six Months internship as a teacher in a Rural Government school around Dharwad

On successful completion, we provide a full-time two-year fellowship along with Scholarship support to do B.Ed during the fellowship.

Eligibility

  • Graduate (Freshers are also eligible)
  • Age less than 26 years
  • Prior volunteering experience in any field would be preferable

Requirements

  • Passion for teaching
  • Ready to work with rural schoolchildren
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Kannada and English language proficiency
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to create learning materials
  • Ability to set goals and track progress

About the role

  • Designing goals and vision for your classroom
  • Planning and facilitating lessons on Science, Mathematics, and English to children of grades 5th  6th and 7th from under-resourced schools in Dharwad, Karnataka.
  • Facilitate projects and extra-curricular activities for children 
  • Collecting data on a regular basis to measure student learning outcomes
  • Building relationships with stakeholders such as parents community school teacher and headmasters
