"Mondays with Meaning"

             "Mondays with Meaning"
At HPS Devrhubballi, every Monday brings a fresh beginning—filled with energy, values, and purpose. As a rural school nestled in tradition and hope, our week begins with a disciplined morning prayer that sets the tone for the days ahead.

The prayer assembly is not just a routine—it’s a celebration of learning and cultural richness. Students take turns reading from the Panchang (daily calendar), reciting Subhashitas (wise sayings), sharing Vachanas (spiritual-poetic expressions), introducing a Pustaka Parichaya (book overview), and engaging in a Rasaprashne (literary or knowledge-based riddle).

But the heart of the morning gathering lies in the Samvidhana Pitike—a daily reflection on the Indian Constitution. Hearing children speak about values like justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity reminds us why education is the strongest pillar of our democracy. These sessions not only build knowledge but also nurture a sense of responsibility and pride in young minds.

Our Physical Education teacher ensures the assembly and student movements are well-disciplined. Every step, every line, every voice in the prayer echoes coordination and mutual respect.

The school continues to reflect this orderliness during lunch. It’s a beautiful practice—students are served first. They eat calmly, under teachers’ supervision. Only after they finish, the teachers sit together for their meal. This system teaches both patience and respect—values deeply rooted in our school culture.

As the day comes to a close, students bid goodbye and head home. But the school day doesn’t end for us teachers. We stay back a little longer—checking classrooms, ensuring everything is in place, and preparing for the next day. It’s a quiet moment of reflection and readiness.

This rhythm of the week, especially Mondays, brings with it a sense of renewal. As a teacher and a Vidya Poshak Yuva Fellow, I feel proud to be part of this journey—where tradition meets discipline, and education shapes character.

My Happy Class

My Happy Class My class is always filled with joy and positivity. The students learn with happiness, and I make sure to comfort and encourage them at every step. By creating a friendly and caring environment, I see them growing not only in studies but also in confidence. Every day, I try to make learning enjoyable through stories, activities, and games that spark curiosity. The students actively take part in discussions, help each other, and celebrate small successes together. Their smiles and eagerness to learn make the classroom a truly happy place. For me, the greatest reward is seeing my students return home each day with both knowledge and happiness in their hearts.
