Republic Day Celebration at GHPS Lokur School

Republic Day is one of the most important national festivals of India. It is celebrated every year on 26th January with great pride and respect. This year, we celebrated Republic Day joyfully at GHPS Lokur School.

The celebration started with the preparation for flag hoisting. All teachers and students gathered in the school campus early in the morning. The atmosphere was filled with patriotism and excitement.

First, we performed pooja to seek blessings. After the pooja, the national flag was hoisted with respect. We all stood together and sang the National Anthem. It was a proud moment for everyone.

After the school function, we attended the village Republic Day flag hoisting program. It was nice to be part of the village celebration along with elders and community members.

Later, we organized a cultural program in our school. Students participated actively in different events. I also performed a dance for Republic Day, which was appreciated by teachers and friends. The performances showed our love for the nation.

Overall, the Republic Day celebration at GHPS Lokur School was a very good and memorable experience. It taught us the values of unity, freedom, and patriotism. I will always remember this beautiful day.

Paper Boat – An Activity Based on Poetry The students of 5th standard participated in a creative classroom activity based on the poem “The Paper Boat” written by Rabindranath Tagore. To understand the poem better, students made paper boats using their own unique ideas. On this day, Mr. Vijay visited the class and observed the session. He appreciated the students’ creativity and the innovative paper boats they had made. The poem was explained in Kannada, which helped the students clearly understand its meaning. The students enjoyed the activity and showed great interest in the lesson. The session made learning joyful, creative, and meaningful.

I-n-t-e-r-a-c-t-i-o-n🗣️ Today Our mentor Manjunath VT sir visited my class with interns and he did an common interaction with all students of my 6th class where all students felt happy by seeing the sir and they are waiting for Manjunath sir for his presence . Interns also enjoyed the interaction of Manjunath sir and he gave star to the students who told correct answer to all the questions that he asked . they enjoyed the learnings that they gave. It was very nice experience with the students and the interns.

School function

On 06/01/2025, a grand Friendship Meet for the 7th standard students was organized in our school with great enthusiasm. The program was graced by the esteemed presence of the Head of Tata Hitachi and Dr. Sharath Airani Sir, CEO of Vidyaposhak Institution, as the chief guests. They motivated the students with their inspiring words and valuable guidance. Their presence made the event more meaningful and memorable, and their support greatly contributed to the overall success of the program.
