Akshara Foundation’s FLN Endline Assessment at HPS Chikkamalligawad
Akshara Foundation recently conducted the Endline Assessment of its Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) program at HPS Chikkamalligawad. This follows the Baseline Assessment conducted in June, which measured students’ starting levels in Kannada reading, comprehension, and basic math skills.
Over the past few months, teachers and students worked hard using targeted interventions and learning activities to strengthen core literacy and numeracy skills. The Endline Assessment was designed to track progress and compare results with the baseline.
The results showed significant improvement in students’ confidence and ability to read simple Kannada sentences, recognize numbers, and solve basic math problems. This growth highlights the effectiveness of continuous assessment, teacher dedication, and community support in ensuring that every child achieves essential FLN competencies.
