Today was a bright and fulfilling day at school, filled with stories, science, and the joy of learning. I reached the school at 9:00 AM and began the day with the Sachetana activity, where the students participated actively. Their enthusiasm for such awareness activities always makes me feel hopeful about their growth into responsible individuals. After the prayer, the academic journey of the day started. My first three classes were with the 7th standard English students, where I continued the prose lesson “The Leg Trap.” In the very first class, I introduced the story and explained its main theme, focusing on the values of honesty and truthfulness. The students listened with eagerness, and I could notice the spark of curiosity in their eyes as the plot unfolded. In the second English class, I concentrated on vocabulary building. Together, we explored the difficult words in the lesson, understood their meanings, and used them in simple sentences. The students read the paragraphs aloud, one by one, gaining both fluency and confidence. Later, I asked comprehension questions which they answered thoughtfully, showing me that they had truly grasped the essence of the story. The third English class was especially heartwarming. I discussed the moral of the lesson and connected it to real-life situations. We reflected on how honesty and integrity can save us from challenges in life, just like in the story. The children eagerly shared their own thoughts and small experiences, making the classroom lively and interactive. Their reflections reminded me how stories can shape character and values in young minds.Later, I moved on to the Science classes for the same grade. I completed the chapter “Heat” in two sessions. In the first session, I explained the working of a thermometer, the different types of thermometers, and how heat is transferred by conduction, convection, and radiation. The students showed keen curiosity and asked several questions, which I happily answered. It was wonderful to see their scientific curiosity coming alive. In the second Science session, I revised the entire chapter systematically. I provided key notes for easy understanding and future revision. The students participated actively, answered questions correctly, and showed that they had understood the concepts very well. Their confidence and active involvement brought me a lot of satisfaction as a teacher. The good part of the day was the way the students connected deeply with the story “The Leg Trap” and expressed their moral learnings with such sincerity. There was no bad part to the day—everything went smoothly and peacefully.Overall, the day was filled with meaningful teaching, joyful learning, and heartfelt interactions with my students. Each class today left me with a sense of fulfillment and hope.
