💥 “Little Minds, Big Ideas: A Joyful Math Day Celebration” 💥

"💥A Proud Moment on Math Day: Celebrating Students’ Creativity💥"

GHPS Lokur

on 26th December 2025   was a truly memorable and joyful day for me as a teacher. I conducted a Math Day–related competition focused on creating Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs), and the response from my students was absolutely wonderful.

My students came up with beautiful and creative TLMs, each one reflecting their hard work, understanding, and imagination. Seeing their efforts made me feel extremely happy and proud. Every student participated enthusiastically and presented TLMs related to different mathematical concepts.

Some of the TLMs included:

  • Measurement parks covering addition, subtraction, ascending and descending order

  • Whole numbers, even and odd numbers

  • Fractions

  • Multiplication tables

  • Geometrical shapes

  • Place value and face value

  • Basic mathematical operations

  • Angles

  • Greater than and lesser than concepts

Each model was thoughtfully prepared and clearly showed the students’ understanding of mathematics. Their creativity truly impressed me and all the teachers who visited the competition.

Many teachers appreciated my students and said, “You have made very beautiful TLMs. This is excellent work.” Hearing such positive feedback made the moment even more special.

I felt especially proud of my FLN (Foundational Literacy and Numeracy) students. Their involvement was remarkable, and it was a very proud moment when one of my FLN students won the third prize. That achievement meant a lot to me, as it showed how confidence and understanding can grow with encouragement and opportunity.

Overall, today’s experience was wonderful and unforgettable. Watching my students actively participate, create, and learn with joy reminded me why teaching is such a rewarding profession. This Math Day competition was not just about winning prizes—it was about learning, creativity, and confidence.

I will always cherish this moment and feel proud of my students and their amazing efforts.

Thank you.

These activities can help cultivate students' focus and creativity while enhancing their mathematical understanding. Our 4th standard students given the maths puzzle remaining students guessed the answers. Also they told the concept of time and fractions using simple models.
