RAKSHA BANDHANA

In our school all students celebrate RAKSHA BANDHANA

It is a beautiful celebration that emphasizes the bond of love and protection between brothers and sisters.

1. Raksha Bandhan is a festival that symbolizes the special bond between brothers and sisters.

2. It falls on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Shravana, usually in the months of July or August.

3. On this day, sisters tie colorful and decorative threads called "rakhi" around their brothers' wrists.

4. The rakhi thread represents the sister's love and protection for her brother, while the brother promises to protect his sister for a lifetime.

5. The celebration begins with great excitement as children eagerly prepare for the special day.

6. Sisters choose or make beautiful rakhis and may even add beads, sequins, or decorative elements to make them more personalized.

7. Brothers, in return, usually offer gifts or money to their sisters as a token of their love and appreciation.

8. Students engage in making colorful rakhi crafts, designing cards, and participating in cultural programs.

9. They learn about the cultural and traditional values associated with this festival, fostering a sense of unity and respect among diverse communities.

10. Raksha Bandhan not only strengthens the bond between siblings but also teaches children the importance of love and mutual support within a family.

11. It instills values of responsibility, care, and protection towards one another from a young age.

12. Overall, the celebration of Raksha Bandhan among primary students is a beautiful way to cherish the eternal bond of love and togetherness between brothers and sisters.

May the spirit of Raksha Bandhan bring joy and happiness to all the little ones celebrating this special day!
