POCSO & Prevention of Child Marriage Act

 


                                                  Rotary club of seven hills Dharwad conducted an awareness programme on POCSO and Prevention of Child Marriage Act at Government higher primary school Timmapur. Dr. Shweta Shrupali came to our school as a resource person. Also the president of Rotary club Mrs. Gouri Madalbhavi mam and other members were present in this program. Our HM sir welcomed all the guests and inaugurated the program by watering the plants. Later Dr Shweta madam talked about POSCO act prevention of child marriage. She told about the problems faced due to the child marriages and gave the awareness about to prevent the child marriages to the students. It was wonderful talk. Later Gouri mam talked about the program. After that they gave the LED bulbs to all the students. It will help for students studies. Also they donate the Laptop to our school. It was very useful for us. Later they distributed the sanitary pads to the girl students and gave the awareness about good and bad touches to the girl students. It was very necessary to gave the awareness to the students at this age.

Parents meeting

               A parents’ meeting was organized by the Vidya Poshak organization. Many parents participated in the meeting. During the meeting, parents discussed their children’s handwriting, academic progress, and learning levels with the school teachers. The objectives and activities of the Vidya Poshak organization were clearly explained by the organization’s teacher, Ms. Aishwarya. All the parents extended their cooperation and support, which helped in successfully completing the parents’ meeting.
