STEM LAB

On 1st January we are going to visit the STEM lab at Sirsi Marikamba High School. It is one of the best opportunities for me. It gives ideas to the teachers to do some experiments related to the chapters in the class 5th, 6th and 7th.  Almost all the models are science and mathematics. A STEM lab is a space learning and innovation in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). These labs typically provide students with hands-on opportunities to engage with concepts from these subjects, encouraging experimentation, problem-solving, and creativity.

In the lab physics chemistry and biology and mathematics models is there like Laws of reflections, Telescope, Electromagnetism, Ohm's law, Laws of motion, Potential energy and kinetic energy, periscope, Newton's disc, Solar energy, wind energy and day and night conductors and non conductors. And in Mathematics there are models to explain the Pythagoras theorem, area of trapezium, area of circle, and square and proofs of some identities. In Biology we got to know about the models like the Human heart, Respiratory system, Digestive system, DNA model and Human eye. This lab included simple chemistry experiments such as creating vinegar and baking soda reactions, acids and base test, PH value of the compound, Sodium chloride reaction and Atomic structure. Through these models students can easily understand the concepts. I would like to express my sincere thanks to the staff of the STEM lab for their warm welcome and for providing detailed information about the lab’s programs.

Children’s Day Celebration at GHPS Lokur

Children’s Day Celebration at GHPS Lokur               On 14th November, we joyfully celebrated Children’s Day at GHPS Lokur. The entire school campus was filled with excitement, laughter, and a festive spirit as our students gathered to honor this special day dedicated to childhood and learning.                 We began the celebration with a pooja for Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, lovingly known as Chacha Nehru, whose birthday is celebrated as Children’s Day across the country. A Day of Mixed Emotions in the Classroom

A Day of Mixed Emotions in the Classroom               Teaching is a journey filled with different emotions every day. Some days begin with excitement and energy, while others start with unexpected challenges. Today was one such day for me.           When I entered the school, I realized that many students had not come. Only 11 students were present in the class. For a moment, I felt sad and disappointed because I always look forward to seeing all my students together, learning and growing. Their absence created a quiet atmosphere that I wasn’t used to.           However, I decided to turn the day into a positive experience for the students who were present. With enthusiasm and a smile, I continued teaching and encouraged the students to participate actively.          In the last period, I took my 4th and 5th class students to the school ground. We played fun and engaging...
