On the first day of the new year, first day fellows and interns have the opportunity to visit a Sirsi Marikamba high school STEM lab. Firstly, they welcomed us by heartly we felt happy. That Marikamba school looks very neat. This lab was recently established. Firstly, Marikamba school teachers introduced STEM to us. In that lab included science and mathematics models. From that lab we got to know about the Newton Disc, periscope, Solar eclipse, Sliding kaleidoscope, Solar and wind energy, Day and night concepts, Ohm's law, Telescope, Human heart and eye, DNA model, Blood circulation in human body etc. In mathematics models included a Pythagoras theorem, area of circle etc. that stem lap staff explained all those experiments clearly. We were thankful to them. Through all those experiments we learned a lot of things and we are inspired to make more experiments in the classroom.
Paper Boat – An Activity Based on Poetry The students of 5th standard participated in a creative classroom activity based on the poem “The Paper Boat” written by Rabindranath Tagore. To understand the poem better, students made paper boats using their own unique ideas. On this day, Mr. Vijay visited the class and observed the session. He appreciated the students’ creativity and the innovative paper boats they had made. The poem was explained in Kannada, which helped the students clearly understand its meaning. The students enjoyed the activity and showed great interest in the lesson. The session made learning joyful, creative, and meaningful.
