I started the 3rd day of the camp with an energizer telling
the place names. Students told very well. After that I asked about their
village history. Students told like schools and temples in that village. Later I gave
the information about their village. Students were very curious to know about
their village. After that I told about 2 model villages in Maharashtra. They
are Ralegan siddhi and Hiware Bazar. Also told about Anna Hazare and showed his
photo. After that students played the word ladder game. I gave 2 topics school
and home to the 2 groups. Students wrote the words related to that topic. Later
students learned the phonic sounds of the alphabet by watching and singing the
alphabet song. Later students did the vanishing alphabet activity and enjoyed
it a lot.
Paper Boat – An Activity Based on Poetry The students of 5th standard participated in a creative classroom activity based on the poem “The Paper Boat” written by Rabindranath Tagore. To understand the poem better, students made paper boats using their own unique ideas. On this day, Mr. Vijay visited the class and observed the session. He appreciated the students’ creativity and the innovative paper boats they had made. The poem was explained in Kannada, which helped the students clearly understand its meaning. The students enjoyed the activity and showed great interest in the lesson. The session made learning joyful, creative, and meaningful.
